I AM MOROSE

 

V1.  I am fatigued.

There are people putting

Me down day after day.

There are people

Who oppose me.

I am morose

From their derision.

 

C.  Have mercy on me,

O Lord; see my humiliation

Which I suffer from

My enemies.

 

V2.  They are cautelous

And contumelious.

I know that all

Who live a godly life

In Christ,

Shall suffer persecution

And many tribulations.

 

V3.  Many are my persecutors

And my adversaries,

But I do not swerve

 From Your testimonies.

For, what can man do to me?

Nobody can take me

Away from You.
